This workshop is designed to address the basic needs for stress management in a hectic world. It will provide a practical guide that can easily be incorporated into busy lives. Some didactic material along with experiences that the participant can immediately make use of at home and work will be presented. The techniques will include both active and centering breathwork. Three specific breaths will be taught, enabling participants to center and calm themselves, rid the body of excessive pent-up energy, and ground themselves. A very general use of music and imagery is included with this work.
This workshop is intended to assist the participants in the area of personal growth. This can occur in many ways for us as we connect with a deeper sense of ourselves through the language of imagery and the guidance of music. Based on the principles of “Music Evoked Imagery”, this workshop allows for the exploration and expression of untapped potentials. Often, these potentials are felt in ways that cannot be expressed through words. Music and imagery become the vehicle for the expression and integration of these potentials into our everyday lives.

Based on the principles of the 2-hours workshop, the extended length of this workshop provides an opportunity for a more in-depth experience through the use of music and imagery. Each participant defines a meaningful area that can be addressed with personal growth as the goal. As with the shorter “personal growth” workshop, exploration and expression of untapped potentials are encouraged in a safe and contained environment.

Finding our personal best is often a lifelong endeavor. The search for inner growth can lead us down many varied paths. At times this journey feels smooth and easy to us, yet at other times, we seem to encounter “road blocks” that prevent us from moving forward. Music and imagery offers us a new pathway to personal unfoldment. This five- week class is designed to assist the participant in the search for inner transformation. Like a miner’s hat, music and imagery can bring the light of awareness to that part of us which holds our blocks as well as our answers. Each week will introduce a different concept that is relevant to the overall goal of the class. Participants will use music and imagery to explore this concept as is applies to their personal situations. Participants are assisted as needed in moving through the blocks they encounter. Journaling and mandala (an ancient technique using circle art) provide additional opportunity for experience and integration. This class is a catalyst for true and authentic healing and growth.
